Andrea Shore

 Andrea’s interest in riding ponies started at a very young age and began riding ponies since she was a toddler. You could say that she was born into a ‘horsey’ family; her Grandmother, Mother Aunties & Sister all rode successfully in all areas of equestrian. She has always loved young horses, particularly ponies and enjoyed breaking them, producing them and eventually selling them on to new homes and seeing them continue to be successful. Over the years, Andrea have been fortunate to have owned and ridden several successful riding ponies and horses in the show ring. She has always enjoyed beautiful horses and knew from a very young age that she had found her passion in life. In 2010 Andrea finally got to a point in her life where she wanted to establish a top-quality boutique style riding pony stud; she’d had a vision in her head for several years, and eventually Braeburn Park Riding Ponies was born and established by Andrea in 2010. Andrea’s vision is to run a small, exclusive, boutique style Riding Pony Stud aiming to breed ponies, Galloway’s and small hacks of the highest quality. Andrea set out to produce a beautiful and elegant type of pony character, correct conformation and big moving ponies with natural show-ring presence. Andrea breeds an average of two-three foals per year, with the stud’s focus being on quality rather than quantity. Andrea’s aim is to raise the bar of quality animals in New Zealand and without a doubt Braeburn Park is the most successful Riding Pony in New Zealand & one of the best Show Horse Studs in Australasia, having already sold ponies into Australia, her next challenge/dream is to export ponies into the UK. The stud has been fortunate enough to have sourced, imported and utilized some top beautiful female lines of the highest quality to be the foundation mares of the stud. With the help of a couple of Australia’s top producer’s; she has also been allowed access to some of Australia’s top riding pony stallions and we have developed a winning breeding program that is hugely successful, both in New Zealand & Australia.

Braebburn Park Oscar de la Renta – Supreme All Breeds at Canterbury Show & the South Island Premier Show; multiple champions under saddle in Australia including winning the SHC Grand National Large Show Hunter Pony and the Child’s EA National Large Show Hunter Pony.

Highcroft Heavenly – New Zealand National Supreme In-hand Pony, North Island Premier Supreme In-hand Pony, New Zealand Supreme In-hand Pony of the Year, Top 10 SHC Grand National Large Pony, Runner Up Large Pony SHC Show Horse Summer Spectacular Grand National Qualifier Show.

Braeburn Park Heavenly Soprano– New Zealand National Supreme In-hand Pony, North Island Premier Supreme In-hand Pony, New Zealand Supreme In-hand Pony of the Year, Multiple Championship under saddle in Australia. Willowcroft Diamonds Forever – Multiple ridden championships in New Zealand, along with the New Zealand Supreme in-hand Horse of the Year.

Braeburn Park Spring Dance – New Zealand Supreme In-hand Pony of the Year, Multiple Small Pony Champions in Australia. Highcroft Minuet – One of Australian’s most successful medium/large pony’s; having won the SHC Grand Naionals, both SHC & EA Horse of the Years and multiple championships in Australia, including winning Reserve Medium Pony at the Sydney Easter Royal Show.
